It’s been a crazy year! Proposals, rejections, and some of the most unique question popping techniques we’ve seen yet. Here are some of the highlights from the past year.

Back in March, we met this lovely lady. She experienced a WIDE range of emotions (and octaves) when it came to her proposal.  While it was mainly overly enthusiastic screaming, this proposal taught us that even the simplest proposals can knock your socks off.

Best Fairy Tale Proposal

We’ve covered a lot of great, dream-come-true proposals. We even have seen a unique proposal representing almost every single Disney Princess.  But this next one really steals the prize as most fairy tale-esque proposal we’ve seen. The guy goes all out, dressing up like Prince Charming and surprising his princess with a makeover to help her achieve that Belle look. What’s even better is that all their family and friends are involved, also clad in Disney costume. Unforgettable is an understatement.

Best “Plan B” Proposal

When Hurricane Sandy wreaked havoc on New York and New Jersey, one guy’s proposal plans were completely ruined. He had planned an epic surprise during the New York Marathon for his lovely lady. However, despite the race being cancelled, he decided to go with the flow and propose where the finish line would have been. He’s definitely an inspiration for those who worry about the worst case scenarios.

Worst Proposal Mistake

Remember that guy who accidentally donated his ring to Good Will? How could we forget! Take this tragic tale as the best advice you’ll ever get when it comes to proposing: Don’t hide the ring in an unsafe spot (like a coat pocket). My husband kept his in a safety deposit box at a bank. It’s better to be safe than sorry.

Easter, Halloween, Christmas, oh my! There are so many holidays to choose from when it comes to  planning an unforgettable proposal. Meanest Proposal Ever

While this guy got a “yes” from his bride-to-be, this will go down in Engagement101 history as the meanest proposal we’ve ever seen. Apparently this couple has a pranking relationship. But unless your lady has a sense of humor above all senses of humor, we don’t recommend you try this one at home.

Best Way to Include Her Child

We loved this proposal from the beginning. Not only does he propose with a beautiful sandcastle, but he asks his lady to be his “Queen” and her daughter to be his “Princess.” If the proposal’s any indication, we know this will be one happy family.
