3 NYC Proposal Spots

In honor of Ashley Tisdale’s recent engagement, and in honor of the thousands (millions) of people who have proposed or been proposed to in New York City, I’m sharing with you my three favorite NYC proposal spots.

My husband wanted to propose in NYC and jumped the gun. He likes to remind me of his plans if ever I’m feeling a little low on romance, as though the notion of his planned proposal should cheer me up. It does remind me how much he loves me. I mean, what’s more romantic than a proposal in NYC?

1. Central Park. This location offers so many places you could propose in every season. Love the zoo? Perfect location. Ice skating in central park? (Isn’t that on everyone’s bucket list?) Make it even more special by proposing. If that doesn’t get you, a flash mob or “historic site” is also a possibility! Horse and carriage ride? Check!

See what I mean?

2. On top of the world. From skyscrapers to The Statue of Liberty, NYC is not hurting for tall places with a view. Take her to the top of the Empire State Building and drop to the knee! This is a celebrity-material-proposal, after all.

3. Give my regards to Broadway. What screams New York City more than a show? Even if you aren’t a stereotypical theatre-lover, nothing says love more than sacrificing your interests to treat her to one of her own and making it even more special with a ring. Get special passes, go to the stage door, go above and beyond and attempt to get the actors in on it for curtain call (hey, anything’s possible!). When in New York….

What are your favorite spots in NYC for romance?
