Christopher and his girlfriend were seeing Weird Al at a concert/convention, and he knew it would be the perfect opportunity to propose for many reasons.

Reason #1: He could get Weird Al in on it.

Reason #2: He could get Darth Vader in on it.

Reason #3: He had a Death Star Engagement ring.

This wasn’t a proposal that Christopher planned with the help of Weird Al and sad Darth Vader. On the contrary, he got to the spot and asked quickly for assistance in a creative way. Well, OK, so Darth Vader was in on it because he handed the ring to Weird Al who then handed it to Christopher. But all Christopher asked Weird Al was if he’d help him improv something pretty cool… and I’d say the artist did swimmingly, wouldn’t you?

I love how after the fact, she’s trying to get rid of the tears for the picture with Weird Al, as if the moment wasn’t special enough– she still gets in on the magic with the artist.

Talk about a match made in heaven. But can I just say: I really wish we got to see the ring in the video.
