Should anyone create a Go Fund Me to purchase an engagement ring?

The engagement ring isn’t only a symbol of love, it’s a commitment to invest in the future. Traditionally, in heterosexual relationships, the man has to finance the ring. Is it time for things to change as women become more empowered and sometimes earn more than their boyfriend? We are hearing that many women with better financial situations than their partner tip in. If you are shocked, keep in mind that the ring is an investment and it’s always a good idea to get the best ring possible in value.

What can a man do when he doesn’t have enough money to purchase the ring and is too proud to ask her to share the cost?  When a man named Ken  created a “Go Fund Me” page to purchase the ring he needed to propose with, the internet reacted and he quickly became a laughing stock, removing his page soon after.

The man was hoping to reach a $5,000 with a plea full of grammatical errors:

“I meet a beautiful young lady and I feel if I don’t make her an honest women and wife here quick she may not become whole so I’m asking for help with an ENGAGEMENT RING.”
