3 Get-Creative Proposal Ideas

Being artistic may not be your strong suit. You may be a math-and-science type of guy, and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that. But if you’re in a relationship with a creative significant other, and you’re thinking of popping the question, maybe it’s time to knuckle-down and do something creative to show her that side of yourself just for your proposal!

1. Paint a picture. This doesn’t have to be perfect. Do some ‘fancy’ splatter paint and write the words out in the middle: Will You Marry Me? Or collect some leaves (’tis the season) and use them to press the shapes on to the canvas with a message like, “I FALL in love with you every day.” This will set the tone for your proposal!

2. Make a Collage. Rather than investing in a scrap book, make one large picture of your relationship. Put in movie ticket stubs, show tickets, sports memorabilia– anything you have the is a representation of your relationship. Whether you put your proposal in the collage or have it follow, this would be an amazing keepsake.

3. Write a Poem. Not into glue or paint? Try writing it out. Something simple that starts with, “Roses are red, Violets are blue,” will still be appreciated because you took the time to write down your feelings for her.
