David and Brooke had been together for eight years, just graduated college, and were ready to party! But David had something else to add to the agenda.

The couple got up in front of their family and friend’s (for their first time ever doing karaoke) to sing Meatloaf’s “Paradise by the Dashboard Lights”. After a minute or so of singing (around 1:20), David asked them to cut the music, and got down on one knee. Brooke immediately began crying and sank to her own knees as well.

I love his timing with this, telling her he doesn’t want to give her an answer in the morning (listen to the lyrics if you don’t know them!). It definitely takes guts to do karaoke, and David used all of his nerves to go even further.

Oh, and Brooke doesn’t just say, “Yes!” She says, “Absolutely yes!” (Around 2:00 of the video.)
