Singer and now author Hilary Duff was spotted out with her sister’s boyfriend this past Saturday shopping for engagement rings at a local Beverly Hills jewelry store. According to Just Jared, the pop star was helping her soon-to-be brother-in-law pick out an engagement ring for Hilary’s sister, Haylie.

Hilary, who went through the whole engagement process herself not too long ago, could probably offer some helpful pointers, but hopefully the media coverage doesn’t spoil the surprise proposal.
