The Proposal

Melissa and Calvin have been together since college. One day Calvin surprised her with a vacation. He wouldn’t tell her any of the details except the dates so that Melissa could take time off from work. When the day finally arrived, they took off for the airport, and Melissa learned they were traveling to Disney World. On the second day of their vacation, Calvin took Melissa to the Magic Kingdom. They went on all of the rides, and even rode some two or three times. Calvin rode the Dumbo ride twice for her, and she went on Space Mountain for him despite her enormous fear of riding roller coasters in the dark.

That evening they went to Cinderella’s castle to watch the fireworks. They found a semi-secluded area to sit down and watch the fireworks. After a few moments, the song “When You  Wish Upon a Star” started to play and the fireworks began. Calvin got down on one knee and told her all the reasons he loved her as well as all the things he saw for their future. He pulled out the most amazing ring, and, in front of Cinderella’s Castle under the fireworks, Calvin proposed.
