Big Bang Theory’s Kaley Cuoco is engaged!

If you’re a fan of the “Big Bang Theory,” then you’re definitely a fan of Kaley Cuoco—making this news oh so much more exciting!

Cuoco is tying the knot with boyfriend Josh Resnik!

I know…I know… it’s not Johnny Galecki. But hold off on your disappointment. I, for one, think she really found herself a winner this time.

Think about it: her relationship with Galecki was kept secret for TWO YEARS. That’s no way to live.

And among an era of over-the-top proposals, this celeb was asked for her hand during a “quiet date night at home,” a rep told People Magazine.

Way to go, Resnik! When your life is so OUT THERE all the time, I’m sure something simple, heartfelt and sweet is exactly what Cuoco needed.

But before you think she’s crying “Wolf” again like she did back in January at the Golden Globes when she wore a Chopard diamond ring on her left hand, think again. Cuoco even tweeted after the news broke.

“Thanks to everyone’s well wishes! So sweet and means a lot to us! #ecstatic.”

And of course, if it’s on Twitter, it MUST be true.

How long should you stay engaged?

The stars of the reality shows The Bachelor and The Bachelorette seem to be cursed. With the exception of few, most of the ones who get paired on the show don’t ever make it down the aisle.

After postponing the wedding because of knee surgery, Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky seems to be following a similar path. She called off the wedding with Roberto Martinez. According to PEOPLE magazine, she said there was just too much “pressure” and that the wedding was “complicated.”

However the engagement still continues…?

“We’re still engaged; we’re still living together. We just don’t feel the need to walk down the aisle right now,” she said according to PEOPLE magazine.

I guess I don’t really understand. Being engaged means you feel the need to walk down the aisle, right? What throws me even more is that she said she views him like her husband anyway.

“In my mind, Roberto is my husband. We live together, we do everything together, we plan for the future together, we fight just like a good, old married couple,” she said according to E! news.

But if you view him as a husband… then why not get married? Maybe there’s more than what she’s letting on. However, as a Bachelorette fan, I really hope that things work out for these two.

Is being pregnant a good reason to get engaged?

Engagement news of the “sort of Famous”: Miley Cyrus’ brother is engaged to a Disney star (that family sure loves it’s Disney, eh?).

Trace Cyrus will be tying the knot with Brenda Song, who is most known for her role as London Tipton on “The Suite Life of Zack and Cody,” and subsequent movies following that role. She also had a pretty decent sized part in “The Social Network.” She played the psycho girlfriend of the co-founder of Facebook, Eduardo Saverine.

Of course this engagement news is confirmed by Twitter.  On Friday, Trace tweeted, “I am very excited to say, last week I asked my girlfriend Brenda Song to marry me and she said YES! We are both very excited to be engaged!”

His famous sis tweeted as well, welcoming her fellow Disney Star to the family:

“@TraceCyrus can’t wait for Brenda to be a Cyrus couldn’t be more excited about my “sister in law to be” yay :).”

Rumors were flying this past summer on whether or not the couple, who has been dating since May 2010, was pregnant. But Song’s mother denies all claims saying, “That’s not how we raised her,” according to the Long Island Press. However, some celeb blogs seem to think there could still possibly be a baby on board.

Baby or no baby, congrats to the semi-famous couple!

101 Interview with Harout R

We met with Harout R in his New Jersey offices to discuss his approach to design and  chat about upcoming celebrity engagements.

Harout, why did you decide to become a jeweler?

My passion for jewelry design already began in my youth. As a young child, I was always amazed at the reflective beauty of diamonds.

Where does your design inspiration usually comes from?

I have always been inspired by the beauty of God’s natural creations.

We see a lot of floral elements in the line, why?

Bridal jewelry today has become extremely repetitious in its styles and designs. I wanted to bring it back to life by integrating the beauty and intricacy of floral patterns into my bridal creations.

What is the price-point of the Harout R collection?

The price-point of our semi-mount pieces range from $1,000.00 to $8,000.00.

If you had to pick a ring in the collection, which one is your favorite and why?

My favorite engagement ring would be style #547, due to the beauty of its combined elements. The detailed leaf blooming out of the setting is in perfect proportion with the elegantly fluted shank.

There are rumors that Sandra Bullock might get remarried. Which ring in the collection would you pick for her?

The talents and beauty of Sandra Bullock are always continuing to blossom, as a flower. Therefore, I would choose style #192, a perfectfloral solitaire design, refflective to her natural talents.

Another crazy creative proposal! How did He do that?

Imagine walking down the street of a city, surrounded by huge skyscrapers when all of the sudden the lights from the windows started spelling out a message to you. How does that even happen? When I saw this guy’s proposal, I was just mesmerized. How does one arrange for something like that? I had no idea that was even possible.

But, boy, this was an incredible proposal (and of course she said, “Yes!”).

Even though the proposal is super cool, I must say my favorite part is when you see that she dropped her Pop chips (my all-time favorite snack). I hope her husband-to-be knows his future wife has amazing taste in both men and snack foods.

Is it okay to get engaged while you are still legally married?

Another Celebrity engagement sighting! (Seriously, is something in the water?)

Cage fighter Alex Reid popped the question on LIVE TV October 8^th on an Irish program called, The Saturday Night Show.

He was being interviewed with his girlfriend Chantelle Houghton about their hopes of having a baby soon through IVF. Houghton found out she has three years to be able to conceive and IVF is their best option.

The program’s host, Brendan O’Connor, being the witty host he is, made a comment that Reid should take the leap and finally propose. To the audience’s surprise, Reid decided O’Connor was right. And BAM! In front of everyone, got down on one knee and asked Houghton for her hand in marriage.

According to SkyNews.com, Reid said, “We’re in Dublin, I haven’t got an engagement ring, but you know what? I’m going to do it. Seriously, nobody tell anyone! Will you marry me?”

With a giggle and a kiss, Houghton responded with a positive, “Yeah!” and now the two are happily engaged and approaching their next stage of wedded bliss.

Well, after the divorce of course.  After the show, Reid tweeted: @chantellehought = future wife and queen empress goddess of my/our empire! Behind every good man is a strong powerful woman! Hail Mrs. Reid.”

Then he added a quick follow-up tweet: “gotta get divorced 1st.”

Reid is still technically married to Katie Price and is waiting for their divorce to finalize. Whoops!

Rumors and Reality: Celebrity Engagement Ring Predictions

Everyone loves a little gossip! Especially when that gossip involves celebrities and weddings. Put them together and tongues wag wildly. Three of the most popular celebrity wedding speculations this year have undoubtedly been Pippa Middleton, Jennifer Aniston and Sandra Bullock. But the even bigger question than “what will they wear” is “what they will wear on their finger”.  Although all three have “a past” two of them have passed down the aisle before. So what will they choose for their engagement ring? Will they remain true to past style or will they view a new engagement as an opportunity to move on? Here are my predictions.

SANDRA BULLOCK

Sandra Bullock’s marriage to Jesse James ended with shock right on the heels of a romantic Academy Award acknowledgment of her husband, and wearing earrings that he reportedly had given her as a gift.

Recently, in a prophetic twist, there have been rumors of engagement to her “The Proposal” co-star, younger man, Ryan Reynolds.  Sandra’s ring from Jesse was a 1910 Tiffany & Co. engagement ring, from Neil Lane’s private collection held between double wedding bands designed by Neil for the couple. Well, if wedding rumors are true for Bullock and Reynolds I predict that she’ll break from the past and go with a younger and more modern look – just like the groom! She may go with Hollywood’s newest trend, a colored gemstone center. Since Sandra’s birthstone is Ruby, being born in July, this trend would be perfect for her, illustrated here in a classis style by Etienne Perret.

JENNIFER ANISTON

Jennifer Aniston has been romantically linked to a variety of men since her split with Brad Pitt. Lately speculators have been talking about a rumored engagement to “American Psycho”, Justin Theroux, especially since she coyly showed off rings on her left hand at the July 20 premier of “Horrible Bosses”.

Jennifer’s engagement ring to Brad Pitt was a swirling cupcake style design, reportedly co-designed between Pitt and jewelry house Damiani. This go-round I think she’ll definitely be looking for more of a classic – ring that is! Jennifer’s look has evolved over the years but she always seems to favor a sexy but simple style such as this 3-stone style by Miadonna.

PIPPA MIDDLETON

Pippa Middleton has become the newest “most-eligible-bachelorette” to capture public attention since her sister’s wedding to Britain’s Prince William. She’s been seen front row at fashion shows, at premiers and even vacationing in Spain with an old boyfriend. Among the men vying for Pippa’s attention these days is cricketer turned financier Alex Louden. The off-again, on-again relationship will have to prove something very special though, since many middle children, Pippa fights to receive attention in her own right.

My prediction is that when Pippa says yes it will have to be lavish. Her engagement ring is going to have to be spectacular from a style perspective in order to keep up with sister Kate’s large and legendary ring. This ring from the Sylvie Collection might fit that requirement nicely with it’s romantic feel and unusual treatment of the center diamond.

The best flash mob proposal of 2011

Wow! I just saw one of the best marriage proposals of the year and just had to share. As you know, I’m not one for public proposals, but if I was— boy, this is the standard I’d hold it to.

Last week Jamin Love proposed to his girlfriend and dance partner Valerie at the happiest place on earth—of course Disneyland!

Now after the infamous, fake Disney World proposal, I can understand why you’d be skeptical. But trust me when I say this couple is completely legit (in fact, you can find Youtube videos of the couple dancing for their dance company).

Being dancers, it’d only be appropriate for Jamin to pop the big question dancing, so he organized what he called a flash mob to the song “Marry You” by Bruno Mars. After watching the dancers like a tourist, Jamin joined in half way through and took center stage with killer moves.

This is not a traditional flash mob. There aren’t tons of people and the dance isn’t super cutesy and easy. Instead it’s SUPER AWESOME and definitely done by professional dancers.

But hey, if you can propose with professional dancers, why not?

The best part? Disney invited the couple back to the park for engagement photos. How cool is that?

Congratulations to the future Mr. and Mrs. Love (what a fitting last name).
