Since tomorrow is Thanksgiving, tomorrow officially starts “engagement season.” In case you haven’t noticed those commercials for Kay Jewelers and Zales being played around the clock, this is the time of year where people get engaged the most. After all, it’s the holidays, and it’s the one time out of the year where friends and family are together in one place.

So, needless to say, it’s probably the best time to announce an engagement. Notice how I said “announce” and not “get engaged.” These days holiday proposals are a tad cliched. It’s much better to get engaged before the holidays and then announce it to family and friend during the holidays. Do you agree or disagree?
