Every girl wants a platinum engagement ring, but what about a platinum wedding dress? Jewelry designer Erica Courtney and My Fair Wedding host David Tutera teamed up to create just that.
The platinum wedding dress premiered during the “David Tutera by Faviana” runway show. According to the press release, the dress is “ornamented with 10 feet of platinum chain, 33 carats of diamonds, 145.84 carats of aquamarine, white keshi pearls and topped with a stunning white south sea pearl pendant suspended from platinum.”
I think the key word here is platinum.
“I wanted the final dress to be truly awe-inspiring to capture the inspiration and excitement every bride should feel,” said Tutera. “To do this, I chose to add platinum jewelry to one of my favorite gowns in my collection.”
The dress values at $501,640. A small price to pay to look like you just stepped out of jeweler’s workshop.

$501,640!?! Small price to pay, indeed 😉 Too true about every girl wanting a platinum engagement ring…though something tells me the platinum dress trend won’t be catching on anytime soon. At least not in this economy!
