The proposal
On the one year anniversary of the day Scott and Jillian met, Scott recreated their first date. They had dinner at the same restaurant, wore the same outfits they wore the night they met, and they reminisced about the year that had passed and how lucky they were to have found each other.

At the end of the meal, after a long winded speech about how much he loved her and how he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her, Scott got down on one knee, pulled out the box and said the four words she had dreamed about hearing: “Will you marry me?” The moment was absolutely perfect, and in between the “Oh my God’s!” she said yes.

Even though they designed the ring together, she had no idea when he got the ring or how he would propose. She thought they were celebrating because it was their anniversary, but Scott managed to make her feel like it was the first time all over. It was a full recreation of the day they met, when their lives changed forever. Since her mother had passed away when she was young, meeting Scott was the first time she felt the hole in her heart was closed.
