Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jamie Kennedy announced their split earlier this week. Unfortunately for Hewitt the break-up couldn’t have come at a worse time. The Ghost Whisperer star is set to release a book of relationship advice called Hello, My Name is Jennifer Love Hewitt and I’m a Love-aholic.
Hewitt recently sat down with People magazine to discuss her break-up and her new book.
“It was a mutual decision, and we’ve parted as friends,” she tells People. “There’s no anger, there’s no upset, there’s no enemies. […]It’s been totally fine. It’s really a testament to who he is and to who I am. We’re both grown-ups.”
The book includes Hewitt’s dating horror stories as well as musings about her dream engagement ring. In the book she she talks about how she’s been trying out engagement rings at the same jewelry store since she was 12.
The book also offers advice on how to get over a break up — a chapter I guess Hewitt will be busy flipping through yet again.
“I never said in the book that I knew how to be in the perfect relationship,” she says. “I say in my book I want to be the readers’ kind spirit out in the dating world. And now, more than ever, I am.”
Good for her for standing up for her book. I truly hope no one turns her book being released and her break up happening at the same time in to an opportunity to mock or put down.
