5 of the Strangest Words Found in Wedding Announcements

 

Most wedding announcements follow a simple template: the names of the bride and groom (and usually their parents), how they met, where they went to college, where they work, and the date of their wedding.

Somewhere within these five simple steps people manage to mention the strangest things. WeddingCredential.com is a site that lists all the most recent wedding announcements published in The New York Times. It then lets you search through the database to find the most common keywords people use in their announcement (such as “harvard” or “ivy league”).

BuzzFeed did a blog post about it and posted 30 bizarre keywords they were surprised to find (such as “tacos,” “texting” and “croissant”). So we decided to have a little fun and post some keywords, too. Below are five of the strangest words mentioned in a wedding announcement:
