Winner of the Platinum Tacori Engagement Ring Giveaway!

tacori-ring-big2Meet Shannon. She won a platinum Tacori engagement ring from our giveaway earlier this year. Thousands of people entered to win but only she got the coveted ring. Check out the Q&A we did with her below:

Name: Shannon Bray

Occupation: Auditor

Age: 30

Are you in love? Have you found the one? When were you planning to get engaged?

Unfortunately not in love, or even dating at the moment. I saw your contest while looking at dresses to wear to my cousin’s upcoming wedding, and thought the ring was so beautiful! So I just entered. I never imagined that I would actually win, and at first it was pretty funny, particularly given that I am not even dating right now. But the ring is really beautiful, and it makes me hope I can get engaged one of these days!

Why is he your dream guy , if not who is it?

This is a tough question… Im not sure who my dream guy is, having not met him yet! (Although if we are truly talking dream guys, I would have to say Colin Firth.) I like guys who are funny, and who value their family, and who are nice, and down to earth.

Why did you decide to participate to the sweepstakes? Have you ever won anything before?

Other than a CD I won from a radio station once, I have never won anything before! I just entered on a whim, because the ring was so pretty in the advertisement. (And in real life too!)

Now that you have the ring on… what can you tell us about it?

I can tell you that even though when I was a little kid / teenager I always said I wouldn’t want a diamond ring because “that’s what everyone has”. Completely changed my mind on that one – this ring is so beautiful, and I love that it is Platinum. (Never have been a fan of yellow gold.) I would love a ring exactly like this someday, although from the dream guy who has yet to be determined! I also have noticed I really really like having a ring on that left hand… so I may have to kick the “find the dream guy” routine into overdrive here!

    Well i’m glad some lonely loser won the ring instead of someone who actually deserved it. LIke someone who is actually in a relationship and would need an ENGAGEMENET ring….

    @Joe
    There will be other chances for you and others to win engagement rings. We’re starting a new giveaway next month, so keep your fingers crossed!

    Well, it’s pretty disappointing that someone who isn’t even dating someone won this ring. My boyfriend and I were really hoping for the win considering the thing stopping us from being engaged is not having enough money for an engagement ring being two part-time working college students. My boyfriend saw the ring on the giveaway and said “Oh my gosh, enter this! It’s the perfect ring for you.” I was feeling lucky considering life has been looking up these days. Oh well, hopefully someone devoted to the love of their life will win it next time.

    What a loser. Give the ring back and let them give it to someone more deserving. Hopefully it’s like trying on a wedding dress when you’re not even about to get married. (BAD BAD LUCK) I hope you enjoy your ring, sans a man.

    I can’t believe this girl entered a contest with out being in a relationship. I think that was a selfish act!!!!!!!! My boyfriend of 4 years wishes he could buy me a ring like that for our engagement. Im disappointed that she was even allowed to enter. Based on her answers to the questions she should not have won. This is not fair at all!!!!!!!!!!!!! When my baby asked me what kind of ring do I want for our engagement; my first choice is a Tacori ring but I know it would take him for ever to save up for one. Man that is messed up!!!!!! Im not only disappointed at that selfish girl but at the administration for allowing someone that doesnt even have a potential mate to win. That is WACK!

    First of all congrats Shannon! Even though you haven’t found love I think that we all dream of owning that beautiful ring, and good luck love is just around the corner. I don’t think it matters if one person believes they needed the ring to get engaged if you truely love that person you will figure out and propose. I also think we should be thanking engagement 101 for making dreams come true.
