Ivanka Trump to hold second wedding reception

Since Ivanka Trump tied the knot to longtime boyfriend Jared Kushner on Sunday, the media has been alive and buzzing about every detail about their wedding. There was even a bit of gossip tit-for-tat when wedding guest Cindy Adams blabbed to Page Six about how the wedding was awkward, cold and long. Ivanka then told NyMag.com that Cindy Adams wasn’t even there. Whoops. I guess someone was bitter they weren’t invited?

But luckily for Cindy Adams and other folks that couldn’t attend the wedding, the couple will throw a second wedding reception today for all their friends and family who weren’t on the original 500+ wedding guest list. I know throwing two weddings is common for folks with large families, but how polite does it seem?

Wouldn’t it seem kind of rude to invite people to a second reception because they weren’t important enough to be invited to the wedding? I know not everyone can be invited to a wedding, especially not a high profile one like Ivanka’s, but how do you politely tell people who can come and who can’t?

Awkward! I just don’t understand how you can say you weren’t good enough for the first reception some come to the B list second reception. If they were going to do that they could have just had the A list at the reception and the B list at an offsite location watching it on a big screen monitor.

  2. Ya that is a sticky subject… I don’t envy people when they are that sort of situation. How do you tell them? especially when there are 500 good enough… it’s obvious they are not close to all of them… So what’s the criterior for making the cut?
