How they met

Dustin and January met in an art class in high school, and a couple months later, on October 18, 2007, he asked her on a date.

The proposal

On their three year anniversary, Dustin took January downtown to the spot where they first kissed. He held her and said: “I love you, January. You’re the best woman in the world. I think it’s time I gave you your present.” He pulled out a little old felt bag, and for some reason January automatically knew what it was. Tears came quickly, and she said, “Yes, yes, yes, yes!” He asked, “I don’t even have to ask you?” She responded, “No! I love you! Put it on!” Then he asked her to marry him. It was the absolute happiest moment and day of January’s life!

The engagement ring

January’s engagement ring used to belong to Dustin’s grandmother who died ten years ago. The ring means a lot to Dustin’s family, which made January feel really special.
