Man Proposes to Boyfriend with Signs
This is an adorable little video with a lot of heart.
This man comes up with a great message about how much he loves his boyfriend who he has been with for over five years. The video is set to music while he brings up each sign, one at a time.
But then it gets better. He decides to remind his boyfriend of their personal story…with some help of course. The video cuts to their loved ones taking turns holding signs and “passing” them through the frames to each other. There’s some even adorable children thrown in too, of course.
And at minute 5:50, the lovestruck gent finally poses the question in a big “Will You Marry Me?!” sign.
The answer? A yes of course!
What’s extra cute though is that they filmed the boyfriend who said “Yes” holding his own signs at the very end. How sweet is that? Definitely check it out for yourselves below.

Craziest Card Trick Proposal
I swear, this guy must be a wizard because this is the coolest card trick proposal I have ever seen. Not only is it very skilled and amazing– but the sentiment behind the entire thing is very sweet. He basically recounts their relationship history with cards.
The guy starts off telling the story about how they met with two cards that represent both him and her individually, demonstrating with the deck how they cross paths (the first part of the trick).
Then, somehow the cards representing both of them get stuck together– another part of the trick (watch carefully! I have no idea how he does it!)
But it doesn’t stop there. He then explains that if she looks closely, the cards can just be pulled apart and separated. However, he continues, there is a way for the cards to never be separated. He then takes the cards and puts it on top of the deck, only to some how reveal that the deck is really a box with the ring inside.
The look on her face is absolutely wonderful. I think I was just as shocked as she was. This guy’s slight of hand is incredible. You have to see it to believe it.

Man Proposes with iPhone’s Siri
No one will argue against iPhones being cool. Throw Siri into the mix and that little, digital personal assistant is just the icing on the cake for this gadget.
Well this clever, tech savvy gent decided to surprise his girlfriend with a proposal she’d never see coming. For Christmas, he got her the iPhone and was excited to show her how he had already set the entire thing up for her.
Then, he asks Siri to read the last text message he sent it. Siri starts talking about how awesome their relationship is and encourages the unsuspecting lady to say “yes” if the guy were to propose right this very second.
That’s when it clicks for her, and he reaches into his pocket to propose with the ring.
She never saw it coming! What a clever proposal! Watch it below. It starts getting good around minute 1:40.

Marine Proposes in Sign Language at Airport
Long distance relationships are definitely tough, especially when the one you love is deployed overseas.
But distance definitely made the heart grow fonder for this marine. While away, he ended up ordering a ring and shipping it to family members back home. When his homecoming date finally arrived, his mother got the airport to let her sneak back to the gate to give him the ring.
When he walked through security, he made a b-line for his lovely lady, who is studying to be a sign language interpreter. When he got down on one knee, he did more than just ask his question. He signed it to her to show his love and support for her personal interests.
She of course said “YES!” and check out that gorgeous ring from Zales! She’s definitely a lucky lady, and we’re glad he came home safely.

A Hot Air Balloon Proposal
There’s nothing quite like being in love. In fact, it can make you feel…on top of the world!
We’ve seen all kinds of out of this world proposals from airplanes to helicopters to skydiving and even bungee jumping. But this is EXTRA beautiful. This guy decided to bring that feeling to life by surprising his girlfriend with a hot air balloon trip. She thought it was her birthday present. Turns out, it was so much more!
1,000 feet in the air, the future groom starts getting nervous but he finally decides to pop the question saying he wanted to spend his life watching sunrises and sunsets with her, just like the saw the sunrise that morning from their beautiful balloon chariot. That’s when he gets down on one knee, still in the air, and asks.
If anything, you should watch just to see her awesome ring. It’s HUGE!
Speed ahead to minute 1:40 to see the actual proposal.

A Beautiful Ballroom Proposal
Using a mutual interest can be the perfect way to set the perfect theme to your special proposal.
This couple loves to dance. In fact, ballroom dance lessons were something they’ve done together since they began dating. Obviously ballroom dancing had to be involved somehow because it was such an important common interest for them. The groom-to-be hired some proposal planners to help set up a beautiful site that was perfect for the big question.
She walks into a ballroom and immediately sees their monograms written in flower petals. She receives a beautiful bouquet and notices how their favorite Bible verses are written on the dance hall’s mirrors. She’s then led to a back room where her man is waiting for, ring in hand, as their song plays in the background.
Of course she said yes. But the best part? They immediately enjoyed some private dance lessons to start working on their first dance as husband and wife. What guy thinks of that? Talk about awesome.

The Perfect Scavenger Hunt
This guy planned out the most epic scavenger hunt for his proposal. He planned it for Valentine’s Day which honestly, is pretty clever. On a day where girls expect you to be extra romantic, she wasn’t too suspicious of a proposal.
But this scavenger hunt was awesome. He planned a whole day outing with her girlfriends, who filmed the entire thing. The clues gave them things like manicures and a place to go to lunch together– just girls (LOVE a guy who thinks about a girl’s friends). Many of the spots also reflected important places in their relationship.
The video is 10 minutes long, but it’s well worth it, especially if you’ve always considered organizing your own scavenger hunt proposal.
At the very end, once night has fallen, she comes to three boxes that represent their past, present and future. When she flips the switch for past and present, beautiful lights appear.
Her groom-to-be shows up behind her right before she flips the switch of the future box. And once she does, the words “Marry Me?” appear. She of course says yes.
What a beautifully orchestrated proposal that involved her friends. This guy definitely knows a thing or two about planning a perfect proposal.

Meet and Pick Your Diamond Online
Truth be told, we will always recommend the experience of going to an independent jeweler to shop for your engagement ring. In this day and age, we are used to buy everything online. However, getting hitched is still somewhat of a traditional experience, so we would go for a traditional shopping experience.
That being said, you can find really good online engagement ring shopping sites. Our interest was piqued when we discovered the new diamond shopping tool of James Allen. There is a lot of education out there on how to buy the perfect diamond. By now, you probably have become an expert in the 4 Cs and would be able to select a diamond looking at its GIA certificate. All this is great, but you need to understand what it means visually. How will the diamond look and sparkle?
James Allen has created a 3D high res tool to feature every diamond they have in their inventory. You can meet up, close and personal your diamond. Every detail, every facet , every inclusion… You can also check out sapphires and other gemstones. You can fall in love with your diamond and not just look at its specs.

6 Cool Places to Get Engaged in Wisconsin
These days it seems where and how one pops the question is almost as important as the question itself. (These days? Jeez, I’m becoming my dad!) Fair enough. I’m a big, “Show…don’t tell,” fan…so giving the perfect ring, to the perfect girl, in the perfect place is alright by me. I was asked to talk about Wisconsin specifically…so I will. (Because I was asked. I follow directions when I think it’s best.)
Anyhow…you’ve cast your leading lady…you’ll have an epic symbol of your intentions in the form of the engagement ring…if you’re smart, you’ll have your lines rehearsed and ready to go…and most likely you know when you’re going to get down on that knee. That only leaves one more thing…where will this scene take place? I can help a little bit with some suggestions…you know…to get the ball rolling.
The Iron Horse Hotel, Milwaukee
A very cool, swanky place in Milwaukee.
Great food, smallish…but happenin’.
Holy Hill, Hubertus
Sure it’s a church like place…but the view and feel of the place is fantastic.
Timmer’s Resort, Big Cedar Lake
Atmospheric. Is that a word? When you get there…you’ll know what I mean.
As I said…this is a very short list. I’m sure you have your own recommendations if you live in Wisconsin. Care to share some?
Where is it? Iron Horse Hotel, The Capitale Grille, Holy Hill, Summerfest, Timmer’s Resort, Bellini Restaurant
Regional Recommendations: Door County, Port Washington, Madison, Milwaukee, LaCrosse, The Fox Cities

Man Proposes with Children’s Book
For some men, thinking up the romantic words that lead to a proposal is challenge enough. This guy took it to a whole other level.
He decided to create a legitimate children’s book featuring her favorite animal– bunnies. He of course starred in the book as a tortoise (the perfect duo if you ask us). With the help of some talented friends, he was able to write and have the book illustrated. He then planted it in a library and took her for a “random” detour into the library on the way to see his “author friend.” His excuse? He wanted her to see one of his friend’s books of course.
The second they started reading, she knew. The story was just like their relationship, and when the tortoise proposed to the bunny in the book– her man got down on one knee too.
What a beautifully creative proposal!
