Behind The Scenes: The Proposers Have Unlimited Budget

In this week’s episode of their brand new TV Show on Lifetime UK, The Proposers arrange an unlimited budget proposal which involves a speedboat down the Thames, a Ferrari, a helicopter over London and a gospel choir! What a story! Here is a picture of Daisy filming with Pete:

Tiffany from The Proposers tells us more about this episode: “Pete’s proposal was one of the most spectacular ones we have ever arranged! The scary thing was – Daisy was off doing another proposal so I had to arrange the whole thing by mysef! He had an unlimited budget so it was perfect for me. As Daisy keeps on telling me “I always want the biggest and the best” so it worked out well! The hardest part to arrange was the logistics on the day – Daisy was down in London making sure Cloe was in the right place at the right time, whereas I was in Hertfordshire arranging a flash mob of 50 singers! But I must admit, the scariest bit of this proposal was bumping into my old Biology teacher who wanted to be a part of the congregation in the chapel. All I remember hearing is this voice saying “where is your biology homework!!”

Scavenger Hunt Proposal

Andy has put together an outstanding proposal. He and Jess are busy with a four-year-old-daughter, and then something strange happens. Jess receives an e-mail that promises her a chance to be on a reality TV show if she just figures out and follows the clues she receives. Somehow, she finds herself doing it once Andy encourages the scheme.

Can’t imagine why.

Jess and Andy record and find all their clues, wanting to document the step-by-step process. What Jess doesn’t know is that she’s actually keeping track of all the steps of her proposal. The last clue, and Andy dropping to one knee, happen around 8:48 in the video. But if you want some fun, make sure to watch the whole thing! You definitely appreciate Andy’s hard work even more.

What I personally love is that Andy picked a very special spot for the proposal. It wasn’t anywhere notable or exactly photographic, but their church is clearly an important place in their life together. I think once Jess gets the clue and realizes the next one is at their church, she begins to suspect, but it isn’t until she turns around to see him kneeling there that she knows for sure.

Congratulations!

Three Proposal Ideas, Preparing for Spring

Phil the groundhog may have said there are six more weeks of winter, and judging by the weather I’m not sure we should argue with him, but that doesn’t mean it’s too early to start planning!

If you’re waiting for some warmer weather and flowers before you pop the question, here are some ideas to get your wheels turning so you don’t feel like you’re throwing together a last minute proposal.

1. Look for blooms. When the snow and ice start melting and things begin to turn green, what better way to celebrate the coming of spring than going for a nature walk and scouting out the flower blooms? Unless your girl has serious spring allergies, it could be so enjoyable to get out (especially after this winter) in the first real taste of spring sunshine and look for some flowers that may be coming out. If you find a prominent bloom, or even just a few buds, use the promise of spring to go into how much your love has grown and how you want it to continue to do so.

2. Plan a picnic. Looking for flowers may not quite be your thing, but what about going for a picnic? Take a bottle of champagne, some wonderful finger foods, and the best dessert– an engagement ring. Enjoy the sunshine, listen to the birds, maybe watch some ducks on the pond, soak in the spring. There’s nothing better than the first signs of spring, and it seems too perfect for a proposal. Want to “up” it one more? Plant some balloons where you intend to propose. Not only is this super sweet, but you can say you have a love like the couple in Disney Pixar’s Up, destined to be one for the ages.

3. Take me out to the ball game. What starts in the spring? Spring training, of course! If you’re baseball fans there’s nothing better than enjoying a hot dog, cracker jacks, and a game. Plan something special for the beginning of the game, or if there’s a Kiss Cam use the moment to your advantage.

Not baseball fans? What about March Madness! Make your brackets together and use the moment to work in a “Will You Marry Me?”

One thing’s for certain, we are all ready for spring!

Surprise Homecoming & Police Assisted Proposal

Jennifer was leaving work just like any other day. What she didn’t know was that a local police officer and her boyfriend, who she thought was still deployed, were following her waiting for the right moment.

As she’s pulled over for a traffic stop and asked to get out of her vehicle, she had no idea that Chad would be walking up behind her. But then, around 1:10, he plays their favorite song on a CD player as he approaches her.

Jennifer’s back is turned, but as soon as the song starts playing and we get to see her face, she has a moment where you know she realizes what’s going on. Or perhaps she’s hoping, at least, that Chad is going to walk up behind her.

She’s not let down.

Pull-over proposals seem to be making a trend lately. What do you think? Would you be OK with your to-be-fiance staging an arrest or pull-over, only to be surprised with a proposal?

I gotta hand it to Chad, though, because he did more than just coming home and surprising her– he let her heart race just a tiny bit more with the fake pull-over.

Pictionary Proposal

It was a normal Friday night. Friends were hanging out, playing Pictionary. But poor Pamela could not figure out just what her boyfriend was trying to draw.

Rewind a little bit to Pam’s boyfriend texting her friend about the proposal. He did it in texts, instructing her that the texts HAD to be deleted after he talked to her about it.

It was a tense moment.

Here he is trying to draw a church and motion that they’re going to the church… no dice. Time’s up. Does he wait for his next turn?

Nope. He keeps on drawing. Well, he writes. “Will you marry me?”

She reads it, laughing, and then he holds it up and repeats it. “Yes. Will you marry me?

“What?”

I LOVE her reaction. He has his friend hand him the ring and she sees it and falls back, finally realizing that he’s serious. He’s proposing. It takes her a moment, but she finally says yes.

I love when friends and family are involved in proposals. This is so sweet. It just proves that moments that seem like they’re going to be “typical” end up being the most memorable.

Musical Movie Proposal

Chris and Jess are at the movies. Everything is going along as usual, then Chris excuses himself for what I assume is a bathroom break.

But, wait, then he’s on the screen.

Chris is a professional musical theatre performer. So he put his skills to use in creating a proposal for the love of his life, on a tight budget, with fellow/former students and friends. If you’d like to skip the talent, go to 4:30 for his entrance back into the theatre. But the video is incredibly humorous. You should watch it.

As the “preview” goes off, the lights come on, and he goes to Jess, it suddenly becomes aware that the theatre is full of friends and family.

My favorite thing is how he asks her. “I was wondering if you would like to be my wife.”

As if she could say no to that proposal!
