Four Outdoor Spring Proposal Ideas
I don’t know if it’s warming up much where you are, but I am SO ready for spring! We are just days away from the actual first day of the season and it couldn’t get here fast enough for some. If you’re looking forward to the warmer weather for more than one reason, here are some ideas on how to make a spring proposal even more memorable.
1. Hot Air Balloon Ride. I don’t know if this is just a West Coast thing, but what a way to bring in the sunshine! Prep your sweetie for a sunrise or sunset ride in a hot air balloon to see some spectacular views. Whether you propose on the ground or in the air is up to you, just make sure you have that ring secure someone before it makes its way on to her left ring finger. These special flights always end with champagne, so what better way to celebrate your one adventure ending and toasting to a lifetime of new ones? Don’t want to do it in the sky? Have a sign on the ground that she can spot as you’re about to land!
2. Botanical Gardens, anyone? Flowers will be blooming, hummingbirds will be circling, and the atmosphere will be beautiful! Visit a local (or not so local) botanical garden to see spring come to life, find a perfect spot, and drop to one knee. It’s hard to say no with the birds and the bees around, and the flowers, of course!
3. Road Trip! Even if you don’t have a literal “spring break”, the warmer weather is a perfect chance to hit the road and go some place special. This is especially wonderful if you don’t actually have spring weather yet. Whether it’s a trip to the beach, a cabin in the woods, or a special spot for you two– surprise your girl with a readily packed bag and an old-fashioned map laying out where you’re going. What the destination to be a surprise? Plan some spots and give her a new clue every time you do!
4. Scavenger Hunt. Encourage your sweetie to get outdoors by planning a scavenger hunt with personal clues! There are so many ways to lead her around town to a spot you’ve reserved for your proposal. Make sure you have friends, family, or a photographer close by to snap the moment you actually propose. Also, it never hurts to add more to the game! Have a picnic ready, some balloons, flowers and champagne… something for her to discover that might make her think, for a moment, this is just a fun afternoon and not the moment, if you know what I mean!
Most of all, as soon as it’s warm where you are or where you’re headed, GET OUTSIDE!

eHarmony Proposal
David and Natalie met on eHarmony. Natalie, with her two boys, and David, with his introverted ways, admit that they probably never would have met had it been for the site. They are interviewing as a success story for a new promo for eHarmony… or so Natalie has been told.
Really, David contacted Rad Red Creative and told them he wanted to propose. He and Natalie had been together for 2 1/2 years, and hew knew it was the right time.
The video follows their relationship, and then near the end the supposed producer tells them that they really want a success story, meaning a couple that’s already married. You can see the disappointment on Natalie’s face, and she keeps saying, “I wondered.”
Around 5:05 David starts joking about how it’s about time they did, ya know, do that thing. Natalie laughs at him and makes a “ball and chain” joke, until he reaches into his pocket and kneels. She’s then aware just how much he meant it.
David’s speech was clearly thought out and memorized, and you have to give him kudos for it. Not many guys can get away with saying, “You’ve been the jelly to my peanut butter” seriously.

Pep Rally Proposal
Stephany is a high school teacher and is called up to help lead the classes in shouting out some spirit. Afterwards, she’s called back and told she’s needed again to lead a different exercise. What she doesn’t know, is that this “exercise” is actually a big surprise for her.
Her coworker tells the students that there are going to be signs held up and they need to read and shout out the signs as Ms. Pace (Stephany) points to them. Stephany is then instructed in what order to point to the signs.
The signs read out, “Will You Marry Me?” (1:25)
She immediately reels around to see her boyfriend, Jason, jog into the gym and drop to one knee. You see her pointing and yelling at someone, “Did you know?”
I love her reaction! I think it’s so genuine and she was completely shocked. It’s also so wonderful that she gets support from the entire school. You can bet one thing, she’ll never hear the end of it from the faculty or the students.

Prankster’s Proposal
John told Nikki they were going out for a make-up anniversary date. What he didn’t tell her was he had a prank in store, something, as the video impresses, that is common in their relationship.
What Nikki doesn’t know, however, is that the prank is leading into a real-life proposal from John.
Note: The video does contain language. I mean, how would you feel if your man said you were going out to a nice dinner and then you were confronted by a large pot of green slime? It’s like something off of an old Nickelodeon show, and any girl would not have been happy.
It’s only natural, then, that Nikki wonders if the proposal is for real or not. John is clearly a prankster, and she can’t quite figure out if he’s serious or not until she removes the ring herself and realizes that it’s real.
Would you have been impressed with this proposal, or would you have been more annoyed by it?

Flash Mob and More Proposal
Francisco and Ana are out for their 6 year anniversary, when all of a sudden a flash mob starts. They join the crowd of on-lookers and observe, until all of a sudden (around 4:20) Francisco is pulled into the dancing, and Ana is lead to a couch to sit. Clearly, something is going on.
Go through the dancing some more and Francisco acquires a suit jacket and approaches Ana, announcing to everyone that she’s the love of his life and he wants to spend the rest of his life with her (5:20). Then, a bit confused, he starts asking if anyone has the ring (6:15), someone emerges from the crowd carrying a box. When Ana opens it, their pet rabbit is inside with something special attached to his collar.
Francisco asks everyone to clear a space, and a banner drops asking Ana the final question. “Will You Marry Me?” (7:30.)
I love that Francisco doesn’t just do the flash mob, but has multiple tricks up his sleeve. Way to go, man!

After dating for 7 years, he proposes in grand style! Yeah!
Alex told Susie that they had been invited to a special screening of Captain America 2. So she’s sitting in the movie theatre with some friends and has no idea that the screen is about to be overtaken by over 80 friends/family telling her to “Say Yes”!
Alex put a lot of planning into this. There’s a part of the video where friends are holding up pictures representing each year of their relationship, and during his proposal he clarifies that they’ve been together for SEVEN years! Talk about a length of time to wait for a ring on the finger.
Not only did he put a lot of time into this proposal, but so many others did as well. Alex appears in the movie theatre around 3:25 if you want to skip ahead, but missing the lip-dub definitely means missing out on some love.
My favorite part? When he asks her to marry him, he says, “Will you grow old with me?” This to me symbolizes how he views their relationship. Some people don’t see marriage as never ending, but Alex clearly does with this sentiment.

The Proposers Dress Up 6 Dogs as Disney Characters
In this week’s episode of their TV show on Lifetime UK, The Proposers plan a Disney dog themed proposal involving 6 dogs dressed as Disney characters! How fun! (And how cute!). And here is a picture of Tiffany testing out one of the dog’s costume!
“I never thought in a million years we would ever spend time planning a proposal that involved dogs, Disney Costumes and our mums. But believe it or not, this is what happened for Sahil’s proposal. Daisy and I actually had to have a “dog training session” to make sure the dogs got used to their costumes and behaved themselves. I now know why people say “never work with animals!!” Saying that, the proposal went without a hitch and we are very proud to say that we changed dog-fearing Sahi into someone who is now considering getting a dog himself!” says Tiffany.

The Greatest Fairytale Ever Told (a proposal)
Ben put a ridiculous amount of planning into his proposal. Gift after gift, surprise after surprise, and half the time (in the moment) Lauren didn’t even know it was coming from him! Truly amazing job.
Lauren had never been to Disney World. She and Ben talked openly for a while about going with friends until Ben just insisted it wasn’t going to work out. Lauren accepted this, until their anniversary rolled around. Ben surprised her with a dress she had always wanted (proposal perfect) and tickets to Disney World. Lauren was floored.
Not only did they have an amazing time with friends and family during Lauren’s first trip to Disney World, but she received “prizes” that were actually planted by Ben. They got a dinner for two at the Grand Floridian, an amazing spot for a proposal. Then at dinner she was presented with a gift and a private patio to view the fireworks of the evening.
When the fireworks begin, she opens to gift that turns out to be a book Ben made her titled, “The Greatest Fairytale Ever Told”. In it is a story accompanied by pictures that Ben put together about their relationship. The last page reads, “Will You Marry Me?” On cue, Ben drops to one knee and proposes amidst the fireworks lighting up the sky (5:30 of the video).
Truly a Happily Ever After proposal.
