Personalized ‘LoveBook’ Proposal
Have you ever wanted to make your sweetie a book? Maybe fill it with the things you love about her, or put your love story into prose, but you just don’t have an artistic gene (or know someone who’s willing to help you)?
I can solve this problem for you.
LoveBook Online has the option to create a proposal book. You can choose from paper back or hardcover, and then go through and add your pages. From “About the Author” to choices of things you love about your significant other, the choices seem endless.
I love this idea because you have something to display on your shelf at home or at a special table at your wedding. You can pull it out year after year, share it with your future kids– it’s a memory in the making. So what are you waiting for?

One Direction Concert Proposal
Guys go to extreme lengths to let girls know they’re serious about them. While I’m not saying that One Direction doesn’t have any male fans, I’m saying my opinion is this guy probably went with his girlfriend because he loves her that much.
I don’t know how he did it, but Bradley got Harry from One Direction to call him out and turn the cameras in his direction. As soon as Harry says he has a friend named Bradley, you can see his girlfriend looking strangely confused.
Wait… you’ve known Harry all this time and we’re way back here at this concert?
It’s easy to get the feel of this moment with all the screaming girls around. Odds are this guy wrote a dozen letters/emails/tweets to get the attention of the band to make his proposal to his girlfriend happen. You have to have lots of confidence do pull off a proposal like this, and I think it speaks even more that he took his girl to a One Direction concert.
I kind of hope they got a signed CD or something out of it as well. Am I awful for thinking that way?

Legoland Denmark Proposal
Sarah and Sam have been together for 6.5 years, and Sam has decided it’s about time that he proposes. He decides to put his Lego designs to the test and creates a cow holding a sign that says, “Sarah King Will You …..”
Sam wrote to Legoland for help, and finally settled on a day when they agreed they’d put his design on display. And of course they had to film the whole thing! She sees the sign around 1:34.
I love her reaction. I also love how the Lego sign the cow is holding doesn’t finish the question. Maybe that’s silly of me, but I think it’s amazing that he drops to one knee and finishes the question. I mean, if people are holding signs or what have you that say “Will You Marry Me?” a guy may be inclined to say, “So, will you?”
And who wants that?

Fall Maze Proposal Ideas
Fall is the time when farms or over-achievers put together mazes for those who may want to explore. Whether the maze is open during the day, or a spooktacular event in the dark– this may be an awesome opportunity to propose. Here are three kinds/ideas!
1. Corn Maze. Even if you have to make this a road trip, wandering around in rows of corn is more entertaining than it sounds. Go in first and tell your sweetie she has to find you. When she stumbles upon you, make sure you’re on one knee and maybe have more friends and family waiting for her as well when you pop the question!
2. Haunted House. Talk to whoever is in charge and take over the haunted house. Have some creepy mirrors painted in red with the words, “Will You Marry Me” and her name. Don’t want to propose amidst the horror? When you ‘narrowly escape’ at the end, drop to one knee and tell her you’d face anything with her– real or imaginary. Aw.
3. Hay Bale Maze. As long as neither of you have allergies, this is just as fun as a corn maze. Take a roll in the hay (if you know what I mean) and pull the same as suggested with the corn. You could even have an easier time painting on the hay bales or sticking arrows in them that lead her in the way (or perhaps assist) to your proposal!
Is fall her favorite season? This is the time to take advantage of it, fellas!

Boat Proposal Fumble
Sometimes proposals don’t always go according to plan. When this guy planned to propose to his girlfriend, he had it all worked out. Time on the lake with friends and others standing on the beach with signs asking her to marry him. Sounds perfect, right?
Except for one thing– he was sitting there holding the ring and she playfully hit him in her surprise. But that playful hit was enough to make him lose his grasp on the little piece of bling, and it fell into the moving water.
Not even waiting for her answer, he gives her a stunned look and starts repeating, “Oh my God,” over and over again. Other guys in the boat jump off to help him look, but it’s kind of like looking for a needle in a haystack at that point.
Warning: video contains some language.
Lesson: If proposing in, over, or around a body of water, make sure the ring is SECURE. Whether that means in the box or tied to your wrist so you can still slip it on her finger and then remove the string, make sure it doesn’t get lost amongst the fishes.
Also, let the girl answer you before you blame her with your eyes for losing the ring. Her answer is still the most important thing– right?

Would you let your guy NOT wear a wedding ring?
Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell haven’t exactly done anything traditionally. The couple waited until equal marriage was legal in California to get married themselves, and the proposal happened over Twitter! But here’s something new– Dax doesn’t wear a wedding ring because he doesn’t like to wear jewelry.
Dax found a way to do it different. Instead of a ring, he has a “bell” tattooed on his finger. Because, ya know, Kristen BELL. Within the tattoo are the letter K, D, and L : Kristen, Dax, and Lincoln (their daughter). (He starts talking about this around 0:35 of the video.)
What say you, ladies? I mean, it used to annoy me that my husband had to take his wedding ring off to go climbing. I know, I know– it’s a safety thing. But the very idea of that sacred band leaving his finger made me feel kind of funny. If your guy declared that he doesn’t like to wear jewelry, would you trade him having a tattoo on his ring finger for a wedding ring?

4 Football Fan Proposal Ideas
Football season has kicked into motion and all the crazy fans out there are rejoicing (or crying) with their teams. If you and your significant other are cheering from the sidelines or the comforts of your own home, here are four ideas to incorporate your love of sports into your proposal.
1. Have it signed. Very few people can say no to helping in a proposal. Send a football and a pleading letter to your favorite team and hope for the best. While you may have to wait a little longer, having a football that says “Will You Marry Me?” and is signed by some of your sweeties favorite players is worth it, don’t you think?
2. Surprise game! Surprise her with tickets to a game, especially if she’s never been to one before. Whether you’re near the field or high in the bleachers, it will be a time she’ll never forget. Choose your moment wisely to propose– and if you’re high up, make sure you have a good handle on that ring.
3. Stadium Tour. Plenty of stadiums offer tours. Set up a tour with your sweetie and when you’re near the field or in the locker room, drop to one knee! She’ll be in heaven (literally) due to being proposed to on ‘sacred ground’.
4. Paraphernalia Proposal. Prepare her place with as much paraphernalia as you can possibly find for a game day. Watch from the comforts of your home alone or with friends and family with her dressed in a new jersey (signed, perhaps?). When the team is ahead (whether they win or not), go for that touchdown proposal.

If Girls Popped the Question: How Guys View Our Engagement Rings
I stumbled across this video and thought it was too hilarious not to share. While the video is “If Girls Proposed to Guys”, I think it should be something like, “Guys Think Rings Are Like Lunch Boxes.”
No, I’m not serious. But this is way too funny.
Because, let’s face it. Even if you have the man with the money, they don’t seem to understand our desire for the bling that may be well above their pay grade. Like in the video implies, my husband is more inclined to spend over our budget on appliances rather than the ‘pretty stuff’.
So, if we were proposing to our guys, is this how it would go? No, I don’t think so. It does do an excellent job of showing how these conversations go, and makes me laugh because it is insane to think of an $8,000 lunch box. But an $8,000 engagement ring? I mean, if he had the funds– I have to admit I’d be just as ridiculous.
The moral of the story is: never make fun of your guy for wanting something insanely expensive that may seem ridiculous, because that’s how he feels when he thinks of spending that much money on an engagement ring.
Oh! And the construction crew rushing up over the lunch box like girls act when one comes to show off her new bling? Priceless.

‘The List’ Proposal : A Romantic Comedy Trailer
Mindy and Andrew have been together for a while, and the time has come for Andrew to engaged. He just has one slight problem: Mindy’s list. She’s told him everything that has to happen before they take that next step.
Instead of feeling completely overwhelmed, Andrew decides to show Mindy just how “serious” he is by making a romantic comedy-like movie trailer including friends and family and Mindy herself, and how he’s made it through her sacred list. He rents out a movie theatre and fills it with friends and family for the event. To skip ahead, he drops to one knee at 3:30, but come on. You have to watch the video.
This trailer had me rolling with laughter and crying just from Mindy’s reactions and Andrew’s quirky self. When Mindy says that she just wants to know that Andrew put time into their proposal, I think this proves he did just that (and checked everything off the list)!

3 Ideas on Proposing with Apples (as in the fruit)
In Ancient Greece it used to be considered a marriage proposal if a guy threw an apple at a girl. Luckily, we’ve progressed since then. However, those ancient men may have had the right idea– by proposing with the fruit, I mean. Here are a few more elaborate ideas.
1. Take Her Apple Picking. If you live anywhere near an orchard, or want to make a bed & breakfast road trip out of it, go do some picking! Not only is it a fun atmosphere and will present a wonderful backdrop (yeah… you should invite a friend or photographer), but you’ll reap the benefits of a new engagement and some sweet fruit to turn into a pie (or whatever else tickles your fancy).
2. To the core. Take a heart-shaped cookie cutter to some apple slices and put the ring in there instead. Whether you use string to secure it or put it on her plate that way, it’s a sweet way to let her know she’s the ‘apple of your eye’.
3. Get crafty. Check out this adorable craft from Crafty Moods and make it a ring box. Include some appleseeds or treats to go with the theme of your proposal. When you present it to her, she’ll have no idea what’s really hiding inside!
