How They Met

John’s sister, Michele, and a good friend of mine, Dan, were dating. Dan asked me to go out to a bar. Michele invited John. We went to Playwright in New Haven, had a few drinks, and the rest is history.

The Proposal

John, his cousin, Brittany, his dad and I went to Hershey Park for the day, which is a favorite hot spot of ours. We went about our normal routine going on rides and what not. Every year John and I get a caricature. So, we went over to get our caricature done and it happens to be a guy we’ve had a few times before.

The guy began to draw them and we were talking and having a good time. When he was done, he said “Well today is a very special day. . John wanted me to make this for you….” He then  turned the picture around and it’s John and I in a hot air balloon, him down on one knee ring in hand, with a sign saying “Will you marry me?” and of course I said “YES”!

The Engagement Ring

The ring has a princess cut center stone, G color, vs2, just over a karat. The side stones are round and go half way around and there is a bonus diamond on either side on the center diamond.
