Aubry & Ryan
How They Met
Ryan and I met in the Army at the annual training on the range, qualifying with M16. Yes. I know. How romantic!
The Proposal
We both are currently serving in the Army overseas in Afghanistan, and one day Ryan came to my work about an hour before I got off, which was random. He offered to walk to the dinning facility with me to get dinner. When we turned the corner to the main road, another female soldier who is friends with the two of us was standing there with a camera. Which I found a little weird. When I went to ask her what she was doing, Ryan grabbed my arm and pulled me around to face him. He got down on one knee and pulled my dream ring out. He then nervously asked me to be his wife. Of course I said yes and jumped in his arms. And now every day I walk to work, I get to walk pass the place that the man of my dreams asked me to marry him! It puts a smile on my face and helps me get through the day and one step closer to being home in the states.
The Engagement Ring
I found a very similar engagement ring back when I was in the States. We both searched the web for over 3 months to find the designer or someone who had the ring. We finally spotted it on Bigham Jewelers’ website. They were very supportive and helped us receive my dream ring! It is very unique and gives the feel of being vintage, which is why I love it so much. It lays flat on my finger and has diamonds in all different sizes swirling around to design an amazing ring. It is the Natasha by designer Penny Preville.
What a beautiful story for a beautiful & Brave couple ,
Finally got to see this! Aubry and Ryan’s story, is truly one of soulmates finding one another. You could see, feel the waves of unmistakable love, happiness, joy …whenever you were with them. I knew, (because Mom’s always know) deep within my heart, their love story had begun. I wait, with prayers for their safety, to see more of their story.
And…I want to see that beautiful ring…in person!
