Proposing in exotic Fiji
Now this is pretty adorable, if I do say so myself. This guy makes videos and was sent on a project to film in Fiji. He decided to take his girlfriend along as a sound tech. What a great way to get her to some place cool and romantic without her suspecting anything!
At about 1 minute in, he pops the question. What’s really special to me about this video isn’t really the proposal (though you can tell how much they truly love each other), but check out the adorable kids from Fiji!!!! Apparently they had built some great relationships with people and everyone ran out to congratulate them. And then while they engage in their own little kissy-kiss moment, kids start hogging the camera up close at minute 3:00. It’s quite cute. Definitely check it out.
Where would you go if you were going to propose out of the country?

A TV Show Proposal…on Hell’s Kitchen?
My husband and I LOVE cuddling up on the couch to watch Hell’s Kitchen. Sure, it’s a lot of yelling, bleeping out, and crying as chef’s cook til the death– but it’s a great show.
What I think is funny, is that apparently some gent thought that would be the perfect way to propose to his girlfriend. Nothing says romance like having dinner next to an open kitchen where a famous chef makes all the struggling chef’s cry.
However, this was surprisingly an awesome proposal.
My favorite part is that Gordan Ramsey really came out as the sweet guy he really his. My husband and I spend half of every episode of Hell’s Kitchen talking about how we are convinced that Chef Ramsey is a big teddy bear on the inside.
What get’s me is how this guy was able to coordinate it. He must be pretty brave to ask Chef Ramsey to let him in on his show for something special.

A Beauty and The Beast Proposal
Wow. This proposal is absolutely amazing. And the fact that I watched the whole 11 minutes is proof of how awesome it is. I don’t think I’ve seen a proposal this elaborate in a while (and I’ve seen A LOT of proposals).
This guy wanted to propose at Disney World, but for some reason was unable to. So, he brought Disney World to her. She was kidnapped on the way home by a hunchback and a Robin Hood-esque character, blind folded and taken to a house where she was met by people who got her all dolled up to look like Belle from Beauty and the Beast.
As she entered the backyard, she was greeted first by a little girl dressed as Alice who helped lead her around to different princesses who had notes for her and then she was got to watch a video on a tablet at each checkpoint that told a different part of the story of her and her future-husband (described repeatedly as a ginger dragon turned prince).
Meanwhile, important onlookers attended dressed as various Disney Characters (including grandma dressed as a fairy!). At the end, she walks down a long aisle and is greeted by her prince charming riding in on a white horse. There’s even fireworks.
I’m telling you, this is pretty incredible. She got a proposal AND Disney in her backyard!

A Rose for Every Day
Flowers are beautiful and a great symbol of love. Some guys propose with a bouquet. Some propose with a single rose. Others will shower their ladies with petals upon petals, just lining the floor.
In this Australian proposal, there are a ton of flowers involved— over 1000 actually. This man proposed to his special lady and mother of his 3.5 children with a rose for every single day they’ve been together. That’s a long time!
The setting was a romantic restaurant with a string quartet. But the hundreds of family, friends and strangers who delivered the roses? That was something else. It was pretty special.
Check out the entire proposal, including his heartfelt speech written out on gigantic cards for her to read.

Pros and Cons of Proposing in Front of Friends
When you propose, you can choose to make it intimate or public. It’s a big decision which way you go, because sometimes it can have a real affect on the answer of the proposal (ie. no public proposals for super shy girls). So be careful to analyze the pros and cons of what can ensue.
Take this one for example:
PRO:
- She can immediately share the news with the people she cares about
- People LOVE feeling included
- If you want the people to know in advance, they can help with the planning
- You can get tons of great pictures from different angles
- You can have an engagement party immediately after
- Some people tend to interrupt the proposal with “CAN I SEE THE RING!!?!?!?!” or “DID SHE SAY YES YET? DID SHE?”
- Sometimes there’s screaming…which is just unromantic
- It can sometimes be overwhelming to the girl
- If she says no, you’re embarrassed in front of a LOT of people
- It can feel less intimate
There are equally good and bad sides to doing a public proposal. You really need to just do what you think is best and go with that feeling in your guy (and in your heart). After all, no one knows your lady like you do. Be confident in your choice and give her the proposal she’s always dreamed of.

Celebrity Oval Engagement Ring Trend
Looks like oval engagement rings are pretty popular among celebrities these days.
Figure skater and two-time Olympic medalist Michelle Kwan got engaged to her boyfriend of one year, Clay Pell. Her gorgeous oval engagement ring is shaped like a skating ring, she says.

Blake Lively (she just got married to Ryan Reynolds!) was also spotted with an oval shaped engagement ring!

A Perfect Pirate Proposal
There’s nothing I like to see more than couples who know how to have a good time and a good laugh. This girl was completely surprised by her boyfriend, who randomly appeared in a pirate’s costume saying he thinks he found treasure.
What he really “found” was the engagement ring he’d be proposing to his girlfriend with.
At first, she thought it was just a graduation stunt– but when she realized her pirate pal was down on one knee, this first mate was in complete shock.
Watch her reaction! Would you accept a proposal from a pirate? Or should the boys leave their costumes at home?

Creative Panda Proposal!
I usually never post longer videos. If the proposal doesn’t happen in about 1-2 minutes on a Youtube video, I usually click to the next. But this one— wow. It was so unique. I LOVED IT and just had to share.
Basically this guy makes it look he had a weird Panda delivery service deliver her some presents with some video files. As she opens the presents, she gets to watch another video of her guy narrating the gifts.
What she doesn’t realize is that he’s actually behind her in the Panda costume! It’s a little unusual but totally creative. What really kills me in this video is her friend in the background who completely WIGS out! Also, this guy gets bonus points for having his proposal filmed and photographed! What a cute proposal!
What do you think? Too weird or totally cute?
