Adam Levine Engaged!

I feel like that exclamation point in the title shouldn’t be there. Is there a punctuation mark for, “It’s the end of every single girl’s dreams”?

Well, it may be sad to us, but it’s true! Adam Levine, 34, is engaged to his Victoria’s Secret model girlfriend Behati Prinsloo, 24. Reports say he proposed in Las Angeles over the weekend.

The two started dating in June 2012. What’s interesting is they split earlier this year, only to reconcile in a period that was almost unbeknownst to all. Yet here they are! ENGAGED!

I’m not sure many women can say they are happy, per-say, about this news, but we are definitely wishing the couple the best! I mean, look at them. They are disgustingly beautiful and clearly happy together!

Paris Proposal

Joe wanted to plan a special proposal for his girlfriend, Christelle. They endured a three-year long distance relationship. Not just that, but an international relationship. Christelle, a Parisian local, started dating Joe while he was on a French study abroad.

With the help of some friends and his future sister-in-law, Joe plans a scavenger hunt around the city from sights like Chateau de Versailles to Notre Dame. Christelle thought she was going into work for a whole day, and is surprised to be handed a present she thinks is from her ex-boyfriend. So begins the hunt.

It is amazing how Joe managed this. In the end, Christelle is in a prime spot to view the Eiffel Tower. She pulls out her last clue that has Joe’s necklace, which she thinks is her prize for the day. Little does she know that Joe, who she assumes is still in the USA, is just a few feet from her. As she walks to see the Eiffel Tower (still on the phone with Joe), he whips off his hat and drops to one knee.

I don’t know how familiar Joe was with Paris before this, but it clearly took some work to get this done.

As if Paris wasn’t a symbol of love already!

Skydiving Proposal

When couples share hobbies it can only make them stronger. It’s even better when those mutual interests present an opportunity for one outstanding proposal.

Chris wanted a fun way of proposing to Mabell. After being together for five years, and skydiving together for three, he thought it would be more than appropriate to propose during one of their dives. But he did it with a twist.

Christ proposed with a fake ring just before they were getting ready to jump (1:39) and then pretended to drop the ring. It was all part of the act, though! After their dive (in which you see several shots of Mabell being so overjoyed), her sisters and a friend are waiting on the ground for them. Chris proposes again with the actual ring (4:35), and they pose for some adorable pictures with signs the family/friend made.

Proceed with caution: this  video does contain a little language!

My favorite part about this? She doesn’t even seem phased that he dropped the ring. It’s so funny to me that he went to all this trouble to give this proposal a twist, almost to get a rise out of her, and she’s just so happy about being engaged she doesn’t seem to care! Maybe she figured from his personality it was a gimmick? Either way, this definitely made one awesome proposal story!

Zach Braff Helps a Man Propose

If Zach Braff wasn’t one of your favorite celebrities, I promise you he will be after you watch this proposal.

Matt really wanted a unique way to propose to his girlfriend, Janice. He wanted to show her his love and the support of their family and friends. It was extra important to show everyone else’s support since Janice had moved to the UK and hadn’t seen some of them in almost seven years!

Matt managed to get Zach Braff involved through Kickstarter when pledging an amount for his new film Wish I Was Here. I don’t know about you, but I’d say it was totally worth it! While I know Zach didn’t do this for free, I still love that he was involved and he’s definitely moved up my celebrity-crush list.

Oh, and the song in the background? That’s Matt’s song. Not only did he go above and beyond with getting people involved, but he performed a song. I don’t know about you, but just the song would have had me bawling and nodding my head “yes” without the video!

Build-A-Bear Proposal

You know how you can record a message to go in a very special bear at Build-A-Bear Workshop? Well what if your boyfriend (or YOU)  proposed using this technique?

Build-A-Bear is such a special place for kids that adults don’t always see it as that way for them as well. Before my husband left for boot camp for the military he made me a bear that goes through a few sweet good-night sayings. It’s still one of my most treasured gifts from him. I can only imagine what a bear asking, “Will you marry me?” would mean to someone; or perhaps, “Turn around!” or “Just say yes!” and have the boyfriend kneeling there with a ring.

I love this idea because there are so many options. It’s not as though Build-A-Bear only has one bear. There are always different animals, Disney characters, holiday specials, and more. Not only that, but they definitely have a tuxedo and wedding-dress to dress the animal of your choice in for your grand gesture, if you wanted to take it to another level.

In the end, not only will your fiance have a ring on her finger, she will have another keepsake to have and to hold for the rest of her life. She can replay that moment over, and over, and over… literally!

Check out this video for someone who did this. The first few minutes are the proposal. Ray asked his girlfriend to marry him using two animals (a bride bunny and a groom bear), and did it in the workshop with help from the employees! Too precious.

If you want to skip ahead after the proposal, they close-in on the animals and squeeze their paws for the messages around 3:00!

Fireworks Proposal

Hope you all had a wonderful Fourth of July! If you didn’t catch my last post about ideas on how to propose on Independence Day, follow this link.

If you would rather see someone do it, check out this video!

I thought this was too precious because the guy had the ring out and kept trying to get his girlfriend’s attention. She was so distracted with recording or snapping pictures of the fireworks that she wasn’t even looking at him. This is one reason proposing during the fireworks can be a bit difficult.

Once he got her attention (thanks to someone else yelling at her, either a friend or stranger we don’t know), she starts waving her hands and crying (around 1:00). So cute. What a great story and special proposal!

Miming “Marry Me”

This is such an original proposal I can barely contain my excitement.

Adrian told Brittany they were going to the movies. When they pull up and see family and friends gathered, you can tell she’s a little annoyed and surprised all in one. Still questioning why everyone is there, Adrian has his friend begin the song as he dons his white gloves.

Adrian mimes this song to Brittany as she stands there and cries. (The miming begins at 1:25 and ends when he goes down on one knee around 5:06.) What’s funny to me is she keeps turning her face away to wipe her eyes and contain her makeup. Thank goodness someone was filming so she can watch what she missed later!

As the song ends with, “Marry me,” Adrian gets down on one knee, takes her hand in his, and proposes (5:06 in the video).

I’m not sure if the entire crowd was made up of all invitees or if other neighbors joined the crowd as Adrian continued. Either way, everyone got a nice little show out of it, and Brittany got a nice ring and a thoughtful future hubby!

But, really, who would have thought of miming?

Brooke Hogan Engaged to Dallas Cowboy’s Phil Costa!

Brooke Hogan, daughter of pro wrestler Hulk Hogan, got engaged to Phil Costa on Saturday, June 29 in Las Vegas!

Brooke, who stared on VH1’s Hogan Knows Best and Brooke Knows Best, posted a photo of the proposal on her Instagram. In the pic, Costa is in the traditional pose of kneeling on one knee and presenting a ring to a very shocked Brooke.

“Happiest moment of my LIFE,” Hogan wrote. “I am marrying my best friend. I wouldn’t choose anyone else. I am so lucky and so grateful.”

While Hulk hasn’t publicly commented yet, brother Nick Bollea Tweeted: “MY SISTER IS GETTING MARRIED!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS BROOKEY!!!!!”

Phil Costa is entering his fourth NFL season with Dallas.

Congratulations Brooke and Phil!

A Scuba Diving Proposal

People truly come up with amazingly creative ideas. This is definitely a first for me. I am astounded that this guy worked this all out!

Tiffany and Rick are pretty avid Scuba divers that always wanted to visit the Turks and Caicos Islands. Rick thought proposing underwater would be pretty neat, and it took him a while to figure out how to do it. Like anyone would think, figuring out how to keep the ring safe was high on the priority list!

Now, I’m not a Scuba diver, but Rick had to clearly think this one through to make sure the ring wasn’t lost. As you may notice, it’s tied to the end of his marker buoy (had to look that one up). From the end of the buoy it immediately went to his fiance’s finger. We can only assume that Tiffany nodded her head profusely, since we never see her face in the video, but we do see the ring go on the finger and a quick smooch after the fact.

Talk about a creative proposal. Way to mold it to your love story, Rick!
