Stephanie and Jamie
How They Met
No one really likes online dating. In New York especially you’ll hear people talking about how contrived it can feel. We don’t think we would have ever crossed paths had it not been for the random swipe to the right on Tinder. We weren’t each other’s type but we enjoyed messaging each other so we decided to meet and go on a date! It was Stephanie’s first online date and Jamie was about done with the scene but it was just good enough to warrant a second. By the third date we knew there was something special and very soon after that it became obvious that we had already fallen in love.
The Proposal
It really did feel like a modern fairytale. I was sitting in my tower (work) when a little bird came in and dropped off a surprise package with a beautiful dress. I was then whisked away in a black carriage (limo) to a castle (a loft in Hell’s Kitchen) where my Princess was waiting. I could see her standing at the end of a white hall lined with stunning flowers wearing a gorgeous white dress. Music filled the room as she spoke the sweetest promises about our lives to come. She was holding a glass box with my ring inside and asked me to marry her! We spent the next few hours laughing and smiling and taking in the moment to the fullest. Stephanie arranged for some of my closest friends to come for a surprise celebration in the evening. There was cake, food, wine and so, so much love. It was one of the most magical days of my life.
