Best Cheerleading Proposals

Who said cheerleading was just for the ladies? Whether it’s cheerleader to cheerleader or supportive boyfriend to cheerleader, you have to admit. These proposals are pretty sweet.
1. In the Air
This guy is a former cheerleader alumni at the Missouri University. It just so happens that his girlfriend is ALSO a cheerleader and still currently so. While she’s cheering, his guy friends help prop him up in the air so he can propose front of the crowd when she least expects it. I love how he still gets down on one knee in the air.
2. Get Her Friends to Do It
So maybe you’re not as coordinated as the guy above, but you can still have a cheerleading proposal for the cheerleader of your heart. Check out how these girls recited a chant that the groom-to-be wrote and surprised her with.
3. Poke her with the Ring?
So, when you’re preparing for a stunt, you have to make sure everything feels right. Knowing this, the guy proposing sets up to do a partner stunt with his fellow cheerleader bride-to-be, but keeps the ring on his finger so it basically keeps stabbing her. That’s a way to get her attention.
Three Ways to Propose With Pumpkins
With the lovely season of Autumn upon us, there is one festive element that seems to be every where you look: PUMPKINS.
You’ve got pumpkin spiced lattes, pumpkin bread, pumpkin pie, jack-o-lanterns, roasted pumpkin seeds– the works. For some people, there is nothing more magical than enjoying the fun nature of everything pumpkin.
If that’s your girl, then here are three proven ways to pull off the pumpkin proposal of her dreams (and she’ll never see it coming!)
1) Carve your message into the pumpkin
Imagine leading her in to a dimly lit romantic dinner, the scent of warm cider filling the air. What greets her is this beautiful display, lovingly carved into a jack-o-lantern of her dreams. This girl who posted on the WeddingBee message board definitely said “YES!”

2) Spell it out in pumpkin
Who doesn’t love going to the pumpkin patch? Either choose to walk there (from a high up location) or find a way to fly over it. What she’ll see is a message spelled out in pumpkins sprawled across the field. Can you see it in this picture?

3) Hide it IN the pumpkin
Now this guy got clever and opened the pumpkin from the bottom to attach the ring to the stem. When him and his girlfriend were carving the pumpkins, she didn’t suspect a thing. When she pulled off the top, she was astonished to see her engagement ring. Watch this video to see how truly speechless she is.

Three Proposals In ONE!
Alright, you’re going to want to buckle up for this ride. This is the most elaborate proposal I have ever seen. I know there are a lot of great proposals out there and especially some that take tons of thought, time and planning. But seriously, this one takes the cake.
You see, most girls feel lucky enough if they get a guy on one knee. Add some special touch like a scavenger hunt or a surprise flash mob and she feels like a true princess. This guy basically planned three parts to his proposals which would have all been sufficient proposals standing on their own. You’ve got to see it for yourself to truly know what I mean.
First, he had the large group, flashy component. Watch his video and check out all those people. Who are all these people that love this couple so much? There’s TONS and it’s not a flash mob. Totally incredible to watch as they do a live lip sync.
Then the girl is alone on the beach reading sentimental letters that are leading her to a proposal spot. Super romantic. But wait! There’s more.
That’s right. It’s not over. She ends up at a TV on the beach (how do you get a TV on the beach by the way?). As she watches the video, it’s not her man speaking, but rather all people she cares about. They’re sharing what they love about her and what they love about her and her future husband together. It was very sweet and sentimental.
It’s only then that she turns around and her guy is on one knee.
So let me get this straight– she basically got three kinds of proposals. It’s like he wasn’t sure what she would like best, so he did them all. I’m not complaining. I’m honestly quite blown away.
And of course, as if that wasn’t enough, there was an entire engagement party afterward complete with fireworks. Excuse me….but where can I find this man? And please let him write a book that’s mandatory reading for all men.

How will you react to your proposal?
My reaction: I jumped in the air after silently nodding like an idiot.
When my husband proposed, he said I stood their in silence for what seemed like forever, but then finally whispered yes after nodding like an idiot. I had NO idea how I’d react to my proposal. But ultimately, after the long silence, it ended up with tons of jumping.
You dream about the perfect guy. You fantasize about your ideal wedding. And of course you’ve planned what kind of diamond you want. But have you thought about your reaction? While the proposal is a big deal, your reaction is just as important (especially to him). Take it from the ladies who’ve come before you with these various proposal reactions, including the good, the bad and the ugly.
The “I’m going to throw up”
It’s not the most romantic thing in the world, but at least she said “Yes.”
The Fainting Goat
Fainting goats are a special breed of goats that faint when they’re scared. Apparently in some women, it’s a sign of sheer shock and joy? Fast forward to 1:26. Remember to breathe! You don’t want to break your neck before walking down the aisle!
The Swearing Sailor
She’s obviously happy…but I don’t think your future husband really wanted to hear dirty words during this important moment. Think before you speak. And if all else fails, just say “YES!”

The Screamer
Screaming with joy is fantastic! …But be prepared to be filmed by strangers and wind up on Youtube. Check out 45 seconds into this video where a guy surprises his girl at a movie theater. EVERYONE within a 10 foot radius whips out their iPhones.
The Crier
Most guys want the waterworks reaction–unless you run away afterward. Lucky for this guy, his crier stayed.
The Incoherent Squealer
Super cute. Just remember to keep your squealing at a high octave to let him know that means “Yes!”

Hands down, Simon G Jewelry is my all time favorite jewelry designer. Sure, I’m pretty biased considering they gave me my engagement ring for free after I won their perfect proposal contest, but even before that, I was the girl flipping through magazines who always stopped at the Simon G ads to “ooh” and “awww” and of course, drool a little. To actually own one of their pieces is a dream come true.
And if you don’t know what I’m talking about, you need to check out this video. Take a gander at those vintage styled rings they’re showcasing. Any lady would fall heads over heels in love with an engagement ring like that. Also their double halos provide lots of sparkle and tons of bling for girls who are all about the elegance and glamor of their rock. One of the many things Simon G does right is their attention to detail. Everything is so beautifully and cleanly designed, you can’t help but have your breath taken away. I’ve had my engagement ring for over a year and a half and I’m still constantly taken aback by it’s sparkle.
As a proud engagement ring owner of a Simon G masterpiece, I have to insist that fellas consider springing for the quality and true beauty these pieces have to offer. There’s no way your lady would say “no” once the double rainbow shot out of that puppy.

How to save a “blah” dinner date
I love ads and commercials for engagement rings. You have your emotional ones, your funny ones and then the just— WOW, that’s a drop-dead gorgeous ring ads.
This new Sylvie ad has both the funny factor and the AMAZING ring in it. Seriously, check out that huge rock. I’d want that ring myself. It’s absolutely stunning!
I just think this ad is super adorable too, especially since the dinner date seems to be an epic fail. You know how it gets when Mr. Right is just too darn nervous to do anything but fumble around like a fool. But hey, if any ring can make a bored chick throw her iPhone away, then you KNOW it’s the engagement ring for you.

Proposing while getting arrested
This guy, Keaton, was told by his girlfriend that she wanted a memorable proposal. He decided to make their proposal knock-you-off-your-feet memorable. Boy, did he succeed.
Apparently Keaton is from Cananda, has a UK drivers license and a Canadian drivers license and was driving through Utah (following?). However, they get pulled over (girlfriend included) by some policemen and WHOOPS! Keaton forgot his Canadian license at home. I’m not sure what’s exactly wrong with this picture, but apparently his policemen friends who were staging this whole thing were making it out to be like a deportation.
His girlfriend was of course freaked. The take Keaton out of the car and “handcuff” him. Really, he’s just getting all dressed up for the proposal. The other policeman removes the girl from the car to do a “search” where he finds the ring. And voila! With a quick handoff and some police mood lighting, there was the most memorable proposal on the side of the road.
I’m sure it wasn’t what she was expecting at all. But hey! She asked for it!
He put effort into his proposal
Now this is clever and absolutely adorable. But don’t be fooled! This isn’t just your average Disney-esque proposal. In this video, the girl being asked the most important question of her life is not the girl playing Belle from Beauty and the Beast. Fast forward ahead to around minute 1:20-ish and you’ll see a close up of a background dancer.
Keep watching! At one point, her dashing dance partner gets switched out for her boyfriend! (You can tell when they switch because 1) her look of delight/shock and 2) it’s a COMPLETELY different man with a bald spot).
Turns out, he worked with the cast and crew to learn the dance at the end of this performance and got fitted for a costume that day. I’m not going to lie. I’m pretty impressed! He totally carried out the rest of the dance smoothly with her and she was able to perform despite her obvious surprise and confusion.
At the end of the performance, he gives one of the most heartfelt speeches I’ve ever heard. What a beautiful proposal!
Now that’s what I call putting effort into surprising your lady.
