A Cute Engagement Session with Smores

How They Met

We met at a country concert in 2012. We began flirting after meeting through some mutual friends and we’ve been inseparable since that night!

The Proposal

It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon in October.  I remember the skies being such a clear blue—the weather was incredible that day. So when Goss suggested hanging out in the backyard when we got home I thought nothing of it.  We were painting canvases for one another and he asked for a marker to write on his.  I was laid back enjoying the sun when he walked over to me and handed me his canvas.  He had written, “Will you marry me?” He then got down on one knee and I was definitely in shock.  It took me awhile to realize he was serious.  Once I did, the happy tears began to fall and I quickly said “Yes!”  It wasn’t until a few minutes later that I found out my whole family had been in on it and one of my sisters was even inside the moment!

The Engagement Session

I really loved how we had our pictures taken in a setting that really reflects the two of us and what we enjoy.  Goss is very outdoorsy so the entire session reflected his personality and things he likes.  Family is very important to me, and I tried to incorporate as many things as possible into our engagement.  The cows, barns, hay bales, and fields in our session have all been a part of my family for many years.

The Engagement Ring

My mama has a pear cut and I have always wanted one of my own.  I like how it is a fairly uncommon shape—it makes it feel unique!

I know this couple and they are so adorable. You can tell when you are with them they were meant for one another.
You did a great job capturing their love.
