A Sunny San Francisco Engagement Session

Karen & David

The Proposal

David and I  always take our dog Rocky on walks out to Sutro Baths, which is a nice short hike from our place.  Rocky is a big reason why our relationship was able to grow and develop into what it is today so of course David wanted him to be a part of the proposal.  We had planned a walk after work that day. Little did I know that David had packed along a bottle of wine as well as the ring.  He said he tried to hide the fact that he was nervous. During our hike he told me he wanted to take pictures of Rocky with the Golden Gate Bridge in the background since it was such a nice day. While my back was turned I assumed he was digging in his bag for his camera. When I turned around, he was down on one knee and proposed. I first responded with “are you serious?” and then proceeded to say yes!

The Engagement Session

Since we both grew up in the city, it was hard to pick just one or two locations that meant something to us since there were so many. We decided we wanted more of a scenic photoshoot. We wanted to show the city view and thought Portrero Hill was a perfect spot for that. We also wanted something with color so we decided on the Conservatory of Flowers in Golden Gate Park.

The Engagement Ring

David knew that I wanted a ring with stones on the band. He did all of the research and designed the ring on his own. It turned out to be such a beautiful ring.
