A Family-Style Disneyland Proposal

Jenny & Anthony

How They Met

We met through a mutual friend. I went to visit my friend at her job and minutes later, Anthony showed up. We were introduced on the spot and hit it off from there!

The Proposal

My fiancé and I love Disneyland! He took me there on our first date, got us annual passes as an anniversary gift, and we’ve been going since. It’s a place near and dear to us! So when it came to proposing, I hinted that I wanted it to be Disney-themed. But, I also wanted a big proposal too. For me, it was important to have my family be a part of it.

He proposed to me at the Disneyland Hotel at the Rose Court Garden (my favorite spot at the hotel!) in front of our family and friends. My family told me we were going to Downtown Disney for my brother’s belated birthday dinner. I should have known something was up since my sister treated me to a day at the hair salon and my mom, who is normally dismissive of my outfits, was picking out the right dress for me to wear. Once we got to Downtown Disney, my parents told me that my brother was getting a drink at the hotel and asked us to meet him there instead. We passed up the bar at the hotel and they redirected me to the Rose Court Garden. To my surprise, I saw Anthony, his family, and our friends there! It was the best kept secret from everyone!

The Engagement Session

Since we’re getting married at the Disneyland Resort, it only seemed right to have our engagement shoot there!

The Engagement Ring

We went ring shopping together. I gave my fiancé some tips about some of my favorite styles and designs but I ultimately left the finished product up to him. The ring was purchased at Debebians Fine Jewelry, in LA.

The Photographers

Jenna Henderson from The White Rabbit Photo Boutique

“We had such an incredible time photographing Jenny and Anthony for their engagement session. We had been working on styling and locations before the shoot, so by the time the day arrived we were filled with excitement. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect, and everything just seemed to fall into place on that day. In addition to the gorgeous weather, it was wonderful getting to know Jenny and Anthony. They are simply perfect for each other, and it was an honor to be able to capture their love and playfulness on camera. We even ended the day with cotton candy, and whenever cotton candy is involved, you know you’ve had a great day!”
