As Valentine’s Day inches closer, a lot of guys might be thinking of popping the question on the romantic holiday. Here are some ideas of sweet proposals that will sweep her off her feet.

Have an “engagementcation”

The growing trend of engagementcation is when a couple gets engaged while on a romantic getaway. If you have the dough to splurge, whisk your partner away to a beachy resort, then pop the question over a candlelit dinner that overlooks the ocean.

Spend the night in

Every now and then you have those nights where you just want to put on sweats, order Chinese, curl up on the couch and watch your favorite horror movie (or romcom). These casual nights might not be your typical grandiose romantic date, so it’ll definitely be a surprise when you pull out a ring while she munches on pizza.

Create a scrapbook

If you’re on the crafty side, try putting together a scrapbook of pictures and other artifacts that represent both you and your relationship together. Later, over a bottle of wine, flip through the book together. As you both laugh and reminiscence, slyly pull out the ring and propose.

If you’re the type of couple who likes skydiving or rock climbing, try proposing after finishing one of these feats. The adrenaline left over from jumping out of a plane or from driving a race car makes it the perfect moment to realize how much you love each other.
