Maeve Gillies, the mastermind and founder of Maevona, is a jeweler, artist and musician from Scotland. Maeve discovered her passion for jewelry at the age of 15. After graduating with a master’s degree from the Royal College of Art in London, she worked at a jewelry store where diamond engagement rings were her favorite.

In 2004, Maeve  launched MAEVONA in New York City. Immediately the company caught everyone’s attention with its unique designs and Celtic influences. Maevona’s line of bridal jewelry consists of one-of-kind engagement rings with splashes of rose and yellow gold — guaranteed to dazzle women who think outside the box and want something astronomically different.

“The women for whom I’m designing want to be able to relate to something about the pieces,” Maeve told InStore Magazine. “[They’re] more drawn to subtleties and authenticity than showiness or bling.”
