3 Labor Day Weekend Proposal Ideas

Labor Day Weekend is the first long weekend after summer, or perhaps the last of summer, if you will. Whatever way you want to view it, it is your last chance to get a proposal in before the weather starts changing and things start getting crazy! So take advantage of this three-day and do something extra special for your proposal. Here are a few ideas!

1. Take a Vacation. Forget a rain check, or putting it off until the winter months when it will be less-busy wherever you are going– and GO! Disneyland, Disney World, the beach, the mountains, the lake– even a stay-cation in the city nearest you. Whatever you can manage, do it together and throw in that proposal. It will be great to get away just the two of you for your special moment.

2. Have a Party. Celebrate your break from labor and invite friends and family over for an “End of the Summer” bash. She’ll never suspect it when you get up to make

a toast that there’s a ring in the moment, because as far as she’s concerned you’re just sending off the summer!

3. ROAD TRIP! Not to be confused with just a vacation, taking a road trip is the epitome of a classic summer– and therefore perfect for a proposal. Take some tips from the movie Elizabethtown and make a scrapbook with all your stops along the way. With each stop, put something in there about why it’s special– whether it’s somewhere you’ve been, somewhere you wanted to go, a place with her favorite food, you name it! Then at the last stop, put “ask for the last page,” and hand her the one that opens to say, “Place we got engaged.”
