Escaping the Heat- Proposal Ideas

Sometimes the summer heat is just unbearable, truth be told… and that can make your proposal a little more difficult. If you plan a romantic beach trip that’s miserable because the sand is so hot and you can’t seem to cool off long enough in the water– how do you make the most of it? Here are three suggestions!

1. Umbrellas are fashionable. Maybe when you think of umbrellas used to protect you from the sun you think of older ladies, or old-fashioned times– but this is not the case. A large umbrella at the park or beach is smart. You can even work this into your proposal if you set it up ahead of time. Hang string with pictures/notes from the ends of the umbrella professing your love/best times of your relationship.

2. Water doesn’t hurt. Unless you drop the ring in it, that is. There’s nothing wrong with proposing after being poolside, or on the boat, or enjoying a day at the lake! Just make sure to be prepared (there’s been a post about it)!

3. Do it indoors. I realize it’s summer, and you want to make the most of the season… but sometimes you need to be responsible and stay indoors. There’s nothing wrong with having an indoor “beach,” or a picnic that involves air-conditioning. It can be just as romantic and you don’t have to worry about bugs or sunburn.
