Mason Jar Proposal [Craft]

There are many uses for mason jars, but this is a new idea I couldn’t pass up sharing. Whether you do this for Valentine’s Day or just any day, it’s bound to get you a, “Yes!”

Step One: Decorate the Jar

Decorate your mason jar. Whether it’s with pictures, quotes, stickers, or just paper so she can’t really see what’s inside, but your creative skills to the test. It doesn’t have to be perfect, but she’ll appreciate it more than just getting a glass jar. Plus, she can save it and use it for other things later!

Step Two: Fill the jar with notes

You don’t have to completely fill up the jar. In fact, if you want her to go through them with you sitting there it’s probably better if you don’t. Fill it with meaningful notes that tell her just how much she means to you. If you’re doing this on Valentine’s Day, you can buy Valentine’s or make the paper into heart shapes. With these notes you can include one that says, “Will You Marry Me?”

Alternative: If you don’t want to use notes, you can always buy large popsicle sticks. Easier to get out of the jar, and still just as cute! Paint the popsicle sticks different colors.

Step Three: Decide about the ring

You could put the ring on the note that proposes to her, or put the box in the jar if it’s well covered, or keep the ring yourself and wait for her to stumble across the note that asks her the big question. Whatever you decide, it’s going to be a good decision.

Good luck!
