We all have our fave celebrity couples, but when they finally decide to take the next step and become engaged (and make it to marriage), there’s something that makes me just a tad bit giddy. I’m assuming it’s the same for the rest of you. So, here were my top four favorite engagements of 2014.

1. George Clooney & Amal Alamuddin. We know this couple already made it to the aisle in September, but remember they just got engaged in April! Everyone was shocked when the number one bachelor or Hollywood finally decided to settle down. Obviously he was just waiting for the right woman, and I think Amal will definitely give him a run for his status.

2. Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis. Jack and Kelso, together at last! This truly just makes me way too happy. I absolutely love that Ashton and Mila finally ended up together, and welcomed a baby at that!

3. Johnny Depp and Amber Heard. After Johnny had his split from former love Vanessa Paradis, never making it down the aisle even though the pair shared two kids, it’s no wonder he wants to put a ring on Amber Heard. Though theres a 23 year age gap between the two, it doesn’t seem to hinder their love or finally shining in the public’s eyes. I mean, if you were Amber Heard, odds are at some point you were crushing on Johnny when you were young. Who can blame her for going for it?!

4. Benedict Cumberbatch and Sophie Hunter. This is my absolute favorite, because not only was the couple keeping things private and never appearing together, but they didn’t make a big deal about announcing their engagement. How did they do it? In the traditional way: they announced it in the London Times. Benedict is everything that surrounds the word classy, and this just made it even more official.
