Creative Winter Proposals

The new year is just around the corner, and we’re about to hit a six week lull before Valentine’s Day. So if you want to propose while there’s still a chill in the air, and free of the holiday pressure, here are three ideas just for you.

1. Cabin in the Woods. Whether you’re staying in the middle of nowhere or a ski resort, getting away to a private place that offers a fireplace to cozy in front of and quality one-on-one time is a perfect idea. Plus, now that the holidays are over, you should have a better chance of getting a little bit better of a deal!

2. Write it out. You can put your message in candles, the snow, or with good ‘ole sidewalk chalk. Whatever the case, get outdoors and enjoy the crisp air before the humidity sets in (if that’s how it is where you are!). You can round a corner and all of a sudden there your proposal is for her to see! Just make sure that if you write it in the snow, you do it just before you propose and somewhere no one else will stumble upon it.

3. Ice Skating, Sledding, Etc. You don’t have to have a fancy ski resort to go to to enjoy sledding down a hill or strapping on a pair of ice skates. If you remember, Luke from Gilmore Girls built Lorelei an ice skating rink in her yard. Now that’s commitment! Take a hint from him and get her outside and doing something just before you pop the question.

Keep the mood going even though the holidays have ended! There should always be a reason to celebrate the love you have with your significant other,

Emily
