Angie had been waiting awhile. She and Pat had a seven-year-old-son together, and she was past ready for the commitment of marriage. So she sent in a message/ hashtag to a contest to help “fix her Valentine” and prepared for a Sadie Hawkins proposal.

What does this mean? It means she wasn’t waiting for Pat to propose anymore. She was going to propose to him. And, of course, it had to be on Valentine’s Day.

Angie waited outside of Pat’s work with a sign and Valentine’s Day themed balloons. With her was their son. The sign read, “Will You Marry Us?” A sweet way to propose as a family.

I think this was pretty precious, but I wonder if the way the proposal was done pressured Pat into a definite yes. After all, how can you say no to your kid?
