The Jersey Shore star, who was spotted wearing a mysterious ring a few weeks ago, took to YouTube to clear the air. Snooki says in her video: “I’m not getting engaged! Get real!” She explains that she’s wearing the ring on her ring finger because she wants to get married someday, but not anytime soon. The 23-year-old said, preferably, she would like to wait until she’s 30.

Wearing a fake engagement ring is nothing new, and for a lot of women it’s a way of making a fantasy into reality. When we announced the winner of our Tacori giveaway earlier this year, a lot of you were upset that the ring went to a single, not-engaged winner (the winner says she wears the ring hoping it’ll lead to a real engagement). But we don’t see the harm in a little bit of make believe. Sometimes visualizing what you want can lead to the real thing. What do you think?
