Angelina Jolie: Fidelity "not essential" in a relationship

Although the tabloids have been buzzing with rumors of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s impending split, a recent interview Jolie gave to Das Neue doesn’t seem to be helping those rumors.

She told the magazine: “I doubt that fidelity is absolutely essential for a relationship. It’s worse to leave your partner and talk badly about him afterward.

“Neither Brad nor I have ever claimed that living together means to be chained together. We make sure that we never restrict each other.”

And if you thought that was strange, the usually private Angelina admits how angry she can get with Brad:

“The sparks fly at home if the nice Brad fails to see that he’s wrong and reacts in a defiant way. Then I can get so angry that I tear his shirt.”

On first impression she sounds incredibly bitter, but on the flip side, I guess you could argue that Brad and Angelina are your typical couple who have rode hard together and been through a lot; they’re no longer in that “honeymoon” phase of relationships and are now approaching their relationship in a more realistic manner.

But her comment saying, “If Brad fails to see that he’s wrong…” seems to hint that she’s stubborn and unwilling to compromise with her partner.

Do you agree/disagree with Angelina?
