4 Easy Ways to Get Romantic This Winter

winter-romanceAs the temperature continues to fall here in NYC, I find myself spending less and less time outdoors. These days I just want to rush home, crank up the radiator and curl up with a cup of coffee and watch television. Most people are like this during the winter months. Everyone goes into hibernation mode as they take shelter from the blistering cold. But if you’re sharing your space with someone else, that means spending a lot of time inside…together. Maybe the first few nights of movies and Chinese food are fun, but after awhile it can easily lead to a case of cabin fever. Here are a few tips how you and your loved one can keep the romance alive while stuck in closed quarters:

Turn off the TV
Staring silently at the boob tube is a little too easy. Instead, turn off the television and have an elegant dinner inside. The TV off makes the whole situation seem like a special occasion.

Visit a bed and breakfast
A good date idea is to spend a weekend at a bed and breakfast, especially if you can find one that’s near the mountains or someplace wintery.

Explore the scenery
During Christmas, bundle up and stroll through the neighborhood and check out Christmas decorations.  If it really is blistering cold outside, then driving around should suffice.

Spend the weekend away
Grab your girlfriends and go on a ski trip without your boyfriend. It might seem kind of unromantic, but missing each other is an easy way to ignite more spark in a relationship.

Does anyone have any other suggestions of ways they get romantic in the Winter?
