If you haven’t checked it out yet, our popular Ring Search feature on our website is a quick and easy way to browse hundreds of engagement rings from some of today’s top designers. We also recently made a few changes with the Ring Search so that it runs smoother and opens fewer windows/tabs. But in case you’re still new to Engagement 101 and have no idea what I’m rambling about right now, here’s a quick tutorial on how to use the Ring Search engine:

The first step is to refine your search. Choose the type of ring you’re looking for (engagement ring or wedding band) and if you’re looking for male rings or female rings. Next, choose your preferred type of metal (for example, white gold, palladium, platinum, etc.) If you don’t have a preference, then skip this step. Then choose stone color and stone cut. Are you looking for a pink princess cut center stone? Or how about a sapphire round cut? You can customize your search to your desire.

And last, from the drop down menu, pick which designer you’re looking for. A classic piece from The Sylvie Collection? Or how about a unique Furrer-Jacot band? After you have refined your search to your liking, click “OK.” Your results will appear, which you can scroll through by clicking “Next.”

Click on an image to enlarge it. In a separate tab/window, a larger image of the ring you selected will appear, like this one from Prisma Express. On this page you can read a short description of the ring, send the page to a friend or print it. If you’re interested in purchasing the ring, you can click on “Website,” which will take you to the designer’s web page.

New feature! Some rings also have a “Retailers” link above “Website.” This is a list of retailers that carry that particular designer’s rings, which takes all the work out of hunting around yourself.
Pretty simple, no? Check it out for yourself, and have fun!

I find the website fairly easy to navigate, but it’s good to have a tutorial handy so the visitor won’t miss anything.
